The Auto Acronyms extension allows you to easily include the HTML acronym tag into your posts. In case you don’t know what that is, just hover your mouse over this HTML keyword.
The acronym is one of those hardly known tags, but provides a great way to use acronyms, and ensure that your readers who may not be familiar with the acronym to have a way to figure out the meaning.

Technical Overview
The extension intercepts the serving of each post much link the BBCode extension does. It checks for the existence of an acronym that matches one of the pre-existing acronym definitions in the Extension Manager. If it finds a match, it replaces the tag (the acronym surrounded by braces, like this [MS]).
